The theme for the 18th liveSURGE was Redefining Skills. We had 4 leaders in the field of cardiac surgery. Prof. Hartzell V Schaff from Mayo Clinic, Rochester – former President of the American Association of Thoracic Surgeons, Prof. Micheal Borger – Director of Leipzig Heart centre, Prof. Joachim Schafers – Director, University of Homburg – Germany, Prof. Patrick Perier – a pioneer in Mitral repair from Germany come visit us and share their knowledge and experiences. Prof. Chandrasekaran from Mayo clinic, a leading echo cardiologist and Prof. Jai Raman from Portland were there as well to add value and support the team. The focus was on Septal Myectomy, mitral repair, Aortic Valve Repair, Treatment of Atrial Fibrillation and Valve-Sparing Procedures. The program was attended by about 200 delegates from all over India.
