The 16th Annual Live workshop took place on 1st and 2nd of November 2014. It was focused on Aortic Valve Repair and Proximal Aorta with more than 200 delegates participating in it. The invited faculty included Prof. Hans Joachim Schafers from Saarland University Medical Center, Germany and Dr. Michael A Borger, Director, Cardiovascular Institute Columbia University Medical Center for the Tele-Debate. The workshop included live cases with didactic lectures and a big debate on “Remodelling and Re-implantation” between the two faculty. A team of eminent surgeons participated as guest faculty for the same included Dr. Sampath Kumar, Dr. Kunal Sarkar, Dr. Vivek Jawali, Dr. Yugal Mishra, Dr. Anil Jain, Dr. Rajan Sethuratnam, Dr. Shiv Choudhary and Dr. Rehan Mohammed. 5 cases were performed over two days on Aortic Valve Repair and Valve Sparing Root Procedure (Re-Modelling) in different patients of tricuspid, bicuspid and unicuspid aortic valve. The program was well-received by all. All the patients operated did well in the postoperative period.
